Our history

After 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Milagros Daez Sevilla, a lover of sweets, decided to open her own bakeshop. On September 24, 1972, Merced Bakehouse, named in honor of her mother, Mercedes Daez, was born.

We strive to make food that generations of Filipinos can enjoy. Our products tend to lean towards the old-fashioned, but that does not take away from their actual tastiness. We strive to balance our production schedules so that we have freshly baked goods at all times.

Milestones may look different this year, but they are still worth celebrating. While we are known for our marshmallow icing, we have several flavors to choose from and you can contact our team for custom designs.
